Day 212

August 9, 2009.

When asked how I could get a soccer ball for cheap, my friend jokingly sent me this clip. In it, a little boy in Mexico collects plastic bags until he has enough to painstakingly tie into a ball. It finishes with him kicking it up into the sky, soaring towards the sun.

Well, seemed like a brilliant idea to me. So I did it. Or started, anyway. This is what I have so far. It's about as big as my fist, and is currently covered by one of those "Thank you, Come Again" bags with flower imprinting.

Hopefully I'll have a whole ball by the start of school.

Day 205

August 2, 2009.

Who knew things could change so suddenly? This picture would have brought up happy memories for me yesterday, of lazy Saturdays relaxing with my housemates. Now I must prostitute it out as an example of what my house looks like, so I can find new housemates. Three of them. In the span of two weeks. ... It's been a long day. I've done all I can, and have exhausted all random ideas that come: from signs on the living room windows to a movie of the house posted widely. Here's to hoping and finding more options, and finally the optimal three people so we don't have to leave what is, and always has been, the Pink House.
