Hi Mama,
Today we had our graduation ceremony. We performed our skits and received certificates and heard speeches. It was very well done. It just finished, and I do feel as though the time rushed past.
Good news! I went to the real hospital (tai da yi yuan, the MRT stop) and the doctor looked at my ear; he went, "Wow, you have a lot of ear wax" and put this long metal sucker in my ear and it sucked out this big, nasty reddish-brown thing about the size of a chewed up wad of gum! Earwax! That was the problem all along. How ironic... Now I can swim at least, so not all (face) is lost. ; ]
I was very stressed and tired this morning; I didn't want to do the skit, I thought we would do badly (we hadn't prepared anything!) and I hated embarrassing myself in front of large crowds. BUT it went well! People laughed. I laughed. And to counter the stress I just sat on this computer chair, pulled out my new mp3 player and played the relaxation CD from Dr. Scharff! Small world now.
Now I'm procrastinating, don't know what to do for dinner, what to do tonight. My taekwon do coach, the one you met, Pata, always told me when I don't know what to do just do what would give me most peace of mind. I think right now I'm hungry, so eating would calm me most; second comes straightening out my room a bit, tidying up; next would be... something. I suppose either homework or swimming.
One step at a time. I'm going to eat dinner now! Talk to you soon.
love,
Karen
