Day 140
May 29, 2009.
Took advantage of my last weekday without work to go explore mountains. I hiked up to the Big C with a housemate, Alice, then came back for a six-mile hike through Wildcat Canyon with Dow-Li. I hike slowly because I like to photograph everything-- there's so much detail in nature, and I derive great satisfaction from the small.

Day 139
May 28, 2009.
Love my PR group. These are shots of the surrounding area, taken on my lunch break. The buildings can overwhelm you if you forget to look at the people moving around them.
今天很累,但是玩儿的很开心,希望今晚能睡得好。

Day 138
May 27, 2009.
Today was grocery shopping day. After waking up at a ghastly 7 a.m. and trekking my way to Oakland Chinatown, I came home on the 51 bus with seven bags of groceries. The first photo shows one of those mystery-filled alleyways lurking around Chinatown. The last two show the dimly-lit kitchen gracing our pink house, casting an ancient glow around our boiling pots of water.

Day 132
May 22, 2009.
In which I visit high school, drive to meet a high school friend, and then drive over to Upstate New York.
This set shows my heart-shaped sandwich, my heart-ing friend Netta, and the light of dusk enveloping Boston as we drive off.

Day 136
May 25, 2009.
Back home in B-town. The first photo shows my taekwon-do coach, pointing at me, threateningly, and a former competition team teammate. The next is an awesome Mexican figurine set in Boca Grande, of two Red Sox players yelling at each other. Then comes the short-cut I take home from the T-stop, and finally a picture of the stick / trellis set-up my mom created for her impromptu roof-top garden, with my shadow as a matter of course.
I go 'home' tomorrow to my other B-town, and as always feel that pain in my chest. Leaving will always be difficult. We're going to run to the beach tomorrow (despite the 60 degree weather) for a short jaunt before we hit the airport. Onward, ho!
Day 134
May 23, 2009.
My cousin breeds and shows nubian goats for a hobby. Here she is at a goat show; for just having a baby on Monday, she is very active. Sometimes I feel sloth-like next to her... in her presence I move much more quickly, so as not to shame myself too much.

Day 133
May 22, 2009. Friday.
Up on my cousin's farm, welcoming the newborn Ava Grace and visiting Julia, the three-year old.
And of course, washing the baby goat for the goat show, below.
